Iraq - Telegraph Galloway Ruling

Great news! The Telegraph reports "The Telegraph won permission yesterday to appeal against a High Court ruling in December that George Galloway, the former Labour MP, had been "seriously defamed" when the newspaper published documents about him that it found in Iraq two years ago today."

Note the original trial did not clear Galloway; the trial wasn't about that. The trial merely found:

Although the newspaper had never sought to prove that the information included in the documents was true, it claimed that it was entitled in the public interest to publish the documents and to comment on them. But the judge said the Telegraph had "embraced and embellished" the documents, instead of just reporting them neutrally.

Maybe the US will have more luck finding more documents to convict Galloway.
