Iraq - Weapons of Mass Destruction

Instapundit has a round up of some thoughts on Iraq's WMD's now that the Iraq Survey Group's search for WMD in Iraq, has been called off.

I highlighted "in Iraq" because the search is still going on for information on what happened to them.

Here are some questions to mull over.

1. What happened to the WMD's the UN inspectors discovered in Iraq but were missing from Saddam's account sent to the UN?

2. If Saddam did not have WMD's, why harass the UN inspectors and kick them out?

3. Why did Russia's Putin warn Bush that Saddam had WMD's?

4. Why did Egypt's Mubarak warn Gen. Tommy Franks that Saddam had WMD's and would use them?

5. What was in that convoy of trucks that was photographed by satellites heading into Syria just prior to the invasion?

6. What was in all those Russian transport planes that left Baghdad airport just prior to the invasion?

7. Why did most of the world's best intelligence services say Saddam had WMD's?

8. If Bush was lying and used the WMD's as a pretext to invade Iraq, why did he not have WMD's planted there, "discovered" and shown to the world press?

9. Why was Saddam trying to buy Uranium from Africa as outlined in the Butler report?

10. Why did Iraq have 1.77 tons of enriched uranium?

11. Why did all the top Democrats, including Clinton, Gore, Albright, Ted Kennedy, Kerry and many others say Saddam had WMD's?

12. Why did Jacques Chirac ask "how to answer the potential threat Iraq represents with the risk of proliferation of WMD"?

13. Is it likely that Saddam used all of his chemical weapons when he gassed the Kurds, did not keep some in reserve or replenish what he had used?

14. Why did President Clinton launch operation Desert Fox "[which was] designed to deliver a serious blow to Saddam Hussein's capability to manufacture, store, maintain and deliver weapons of mass destruction..."?

15. Were WMD's the only reason, given by Bush in his UN speech, for the invasion of Iraq and if not what were the other reasons?

16. If WMD's were found in Iraq tomorrow, would you now support Bush and Blair's decision to go to war in Iraq?

These are but a few questions to ask yourself about WMD's but bear in mind questions 15 and 16.
