Palestinians - BBC Cheerleaders

Today we have this story from The BBC "Unrwa head to go against his will ".

Reports from the UN and Copenhagen say the outgoing head of the UN relief agency for Palestinians, Peter Hansen, is leaving his post against his will.

Guess who they blame?

UN officials quoted by Reuters say this was due to a long campaign against him by Israel and the United States.

Well there may be a good reason the US and Israel oppose Hansen. Like this for example:

Mr Hansen was also strongly criticised by Israel over comments he made to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in which he said his agency did not exclude Hamas members from working for it.

Remember Hamas's charter is to destroy Israel.

Hanzen defends his position, the BBC point out that Israel falsely accused "militants transporting a rocket in an Unrwa ambulance" and the BBC include a photograph of what could be a stretcher or a rocket launcher. The BBC note "This proved to be false, and the Israeli army was forced to withdraw the allegation".

The BBC fail to point out that there are other photographs showing Palestinian terrorists using UNRWA ambulances. And there is no mistaking these photographs. I'll post the photograph after this post.

In fact, Palestinian terrorists have a long history of using ambulances to disguise there terrorists activities.

Then we have this report:

Another disturbing revelation from captured documents is the support provided by the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for the "Koran and Sunna Society" of Kalkilya. UNRWA has been heavily penetrated by Hamas for years; Hamas members dominate many of its unions, including the teachers union. But this new link represented a further deterioration in the U.N.'s connections, for the "Koran and Sunna Society" defines itself as salafi -- it adopts doctrines from militant Islam.

Yesterday I posted a contrast between how the BBC reported on the Iraqi elections versus the Palestinian elections to show how the BBC cheerleads for the Palestinians.

Then Melanie Phillips pointed how the BBC championed the film maker "Muhammad Bakri, producer of "Jenin, Jenin," a documentary that claims Israel committed genocide in the Jenin refugee camp in April 2002..." Now Bakri admits he fabricated parts of the movie, took people at their word without investigating and was paid by the PA.

Melanie goes on to point out the bias by BBC reporters covering the Palestinians.

And Honest Reporting has more including this about another BBC reporter:
All this calls to mind the declaration by Fayad Abu Shamala, the BBC correspondent in Gaza for the past 10 years, at a Hamas rally in May 2001:

"Journalists and media organizations [are] waging the campaign shoulder-to-shoulder together with the Palestinian people."

Instead of telling the public the truth, which by the way, is the BBC's job.
