Just two weeks ago, Iraqi voters braved bombs, bullets and mortars to vote by the millions. In so doing, they took a stand against terror and took a stand for democracy.

Now it is our turn to take a stand: In ten days, the President of the United States will be visiting Mainz, Germany for the first time in years. Loony anti-American groups, including bushinmainz.de and Not Welcome Mr. Bush have already planned demonstrations to disrupt the visit. For far too long now, only these rabid America haters have taken to the streets to demonstrate unopposed. That cannot stand and we must change it.
