Britain - Galloway "These are Blair's last days"

Like a junk yard dog protecting a heap of junk, Galloway spits and snarls in this Guardian piece attacking Blair over Iraq. Galloway's arguments are just that - a heap of junk.

How far out of touch has Galloway gotten? Here's what I wrote the othe day.

Iraqis shun him, Muslims attack him, his Palestinian wife is divorcing him and now the washed up politician threw a tantrum, called the hosts "liars" and stormed off the ITV (UK) lunchtime news program.

First up, Galloway claims "He lied, and more than 100,000 died:". George is repeating the now discredited Lancet report on civilian deaths in Iraq.

Next Galloway, who supported Saddam and is implicated in the UN oil for food scandal, says the war in Iraq is a failure.

The fall of Baghdad, the capture of Saddam, the "handover" of sovereignty, the destruction of Falluja, the much trumpeted and manipulated elections and last week, at last, a new client administration. None of these has achieved any reduction in the cycle of resistance to the occupation.

"Manipulated elections" and "client administration", George? You seem to be forgetting the 8 million Iraqis who defied the terrorists and voted. An election that was made possible by the US and UK. If you had your way your buddy Saddam would still be in power.

As far as resistance to occupation goes, the terrorists are now concentrating their attacks on Iraqi security forces and not coalition forces.

Galloway continues the anti-war movements talking points and states "The troops were told the war was both legal and unavoidable. We now know it was neither."

Not so fast George. Here is what Lord Goldsmith actually said.

"It is equally clear, however, that the language does not expressly provide that a further Council decision is necessary to authorise the use of force.''

And

'I accept that a reasonable case can be made that resolution 1441 is capable in principle of reviving the authorisation in 678 without a further resolution.'

Galloway continues snapping and snarling, protecting his junk yard arguments.

Hopefully todays elections will toss Galloway on the scrap heap of history where he belongs until his involvement in the UN oil for food scandal can be proven.

Why not drop pretty boy a line and let him know how out of touch he is. Be nice. Here is his email address. gallowayg@parliament.uk
