Britain - Newest Muslim MP

And now there are three. Three Muslim Members of parliament that is.

So, what do we know of the latest Labour Muslim MP, Sadiq Khan and what can we deduce his stance on the issues will be?

First, we know that prior to standing for election he was a human rights lawyer. Red flag alert! As much as I'm for protecting human rights, in this day and age, whenever I see that term I equate it with the communist led anti-war movement. A quick look at Khan's old firm's website shows numerous links to the rabid anti-war and anti-American newspaper The Guardian. In addition his old firm is against Britain's anti-terrorism laws.

Further, Khan has called for the US to be investigated war crimes in Afghanistan.

"There should be an urgent inquiry as to whether the International Criminal Court should be set up to assess whether war crimes have been committed.

Khan is also the past Chair of the human rights organization Liberty. Like Khan's law firm, Liberty also oppose the government's anti-terror laws.

Khan was also Former Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB). The MCB likewise oppose the government's anti-terror laws.

Am I seeing a pattern here?

The MCB's stand on terrorism is even more disconcerting. Here is what Iqbal Sacranie, general secretary of the MCB had to say about Muslim terrorists.

'There is no such thing as an Islamic terrorist. This is deeply offensive'

Khan is also a fan of London's anti-Jewish and terror loving mayor, Ken Livingstone. Just scroll down his blog.

And Khan has connections to convicted 9/11 terrorist, Zacarias Moussaoui, who pled guilty to terrorist conspiracy charges. Seems Moussaoui tried to get Khan a US security clearance in order to meet with him.

So, why in the world did Labour pick Khan as a candidate? To appease Muslims and other minorities perhaps?

Khan is on the final shortlist for the ‘safe’ Labour seat of Tooting in south London, and local party members will vote for their candidate this Sunday (25th January).

Labour has so far failed to select a single black or minority ethnic candidate for a safe or winnable seat to run in general election likely to take place in spring next year. [...]

Now campaign group Operation Black Vote (OBV) are urging Labour members to back Sadiq Khan, who is a local councillor. Wandsworth borough, which includes the Tooting constituency, has a minority ethnic population of 22%.

Labour may have won the seat but what did we get? Will Khan continue the introduction of Islamic law in the UK? Will he continue to oppose Britain's anti-terror laws? Will he continue to support London's disgraced mayor?

I'm betting he will.
