North Korea - UN Useless

I'm reminded of the scene in the movie Team America where Hans Blix tells the dear leader to open up his palace for inspection. When asked what Blix will do if he refuses, Blix rsponds, "We will be angry". The dear leader responds, "And if I still refuse?". Blix answers, "We will get very angry and we will send you a letter telling you that we are very angry". The dear leader then dispatches Blix to a shark tank where he is promptly eaten.

Today, ITV (UK) reports that Mohamed ElBaradei, The head of the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency, is urging all world leaders to phone the dear leader and "dissuade (them) from a [nuclear] test."

See, even ElBAradei recognizes the UN is useless.

The ITV article casually tosses out this little tid bit.

The US has hinted if a test goes ahead, it could bomb nuclear facilities.

Whoa! Hold the phone there pal. What evidence to you have that the US is hinting that it will restart the Korean War with a now nuclear capable North Korea?

White House spokesman Scott McClellan, declined to discuss the reports of a possible test but said, "If North Korea did take such a step, that would just be another provocative act that would further isolate it from the international community."

Somebody's had way too much coffee.
