America - Muslim cleric jailed for life

The BBC whitwashes Ali al-Timimi's conviction - naturally.

A US Islamic scholar has been sentenced to life in jail for urging Muslims to join the Taleban in Afghanistan and fight US troops after the 9/11 attacks.

No he wasn't and the BBC knows he wasn't. Read the indictment.

As you read the indictment, remember the men Timimi recruited actually carried out his instructions.

a. To levy war against the United States, in violation of Title 18, United States Code,Section 2384;

b. To violate a regulation issued under Chapter 35 of Title 50, United States Code,by willfully and unlawfully supplying and attempting to supply services to the Taliban, to the territory of Afghanistan controlled by the Taliban, and to personswhose property and interests in property were blocked pursuant to Title 31, Codeof Federal Regulations, Section 545.201, in violation of Title 50, United StatesCode, Section 1705;

BBC: "US government prosecutors based their case on a 16 September 2001 meeting between the scholar and his followers near Washington."

Again, no they didn't. And again from the indictment.

From on or about September 16, 2001, and continuing thereafter up to on or about May 2003, within Fairfax County in the Eastern District of Virginia and elsewhere, defendantALI AL-TIMIMI did unlawfully and knowingly aid, abet, counsel, and induce...

That's nearly two years and not just one day. Timimi met with these men and others many times over a very long time.

Some of Timimi's speeches are not criminal offenses but are illuminating. As you read this, remember Timimi is a US citizen. Speaking of the Columbia shuttle disaster:

This morning, the world heard news about the crash of the space shuttle. There is no doubt that Muslims were overjoyed because of the adversity that befell their greatest enemy. Upon hearing the news, my heart felt certain good omens that I liked to spread to my brothers.

As soon as CNN announced the crash of the space shuttle nearby the city of Palestine, in Texas, I said to myself “God is Great”. This way, God Willing, America will fall and disappear...

And so, he whoever will try to raise the Jews, who are a nation that God covered with humiliation and deserved God’s wrath, will be afflicted with divine humiliation and wrath as much as he supports them.

And here is what one of his recruits was caught with.

On or about May 8, 2003, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Masoud Khan possessed an AK-47-style rifle, a document entitled “The Terrorist’s Handbook” containing instructions regarding how to manufacture and use explosives and chemicals as weapons, and a fatwa from Usama bin Laden...

While here, London is referred to as Londonistan.

U.K.-based terrorists have carried out operations in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Israel, Morocco, Russia, Spain, and the United States. Many governments – Jordanian, Egyptian, Moroccan, Spanish, French, and American – have protested London’s refusal to shut down its Islamist terrorist infrastructure or extradite wanted operatives.

A poll taken, just after London's bombing, shows Britons are fed up the governments soft stance on suspected terrorists.

Should action be taken against suspected terrorists even if they have not committed an offense yet? Jumped from 75% to 81%

Restrict the civil liberties of terror suspects even though there is not enough evidence to charge and convict them? Jumped from 58% to 70%

This is a war and an enemy like none we have ever fought before and it calls for new tactics.

One new tactic that should be carried out immediately, is a total purge of the BBC for adding the enemy.
