Thailand - Muslim Ethnic Cleansing

That's what's missing from this BBC report.

At least nine people have died in attacks over the last 48 hours.

They include a former policeman, a civil servant and a village leader.

The Thai authorities blame the violence, which flared up early last year, on a mix of Muslim militants and criminal gangs.

Shootings and bomb attacks have become a daily occurrence in the majority Muslim south.

Here is what the BBC isn't telling you.

In this area, in addition to security personnel, civilians unconnected to government authority are subject to attacks on a daily basis, many of them motorcycle hit and run attacks and beheadings designed to terrorize the Buddhist population into leaving the Muslim dominated region. Regional police statistics indicated over 200 deaths and 600 injuries over the first six months of 2005.

Now, why do you suppose the BBC didn't point that out?

And let me guess, as soon as America gets out of Iraq the ethnic cleansing of Buddhist and beheadings by Muslims will stop, right?
