Israel - Annan Defines Terrorist

After years of the UN trying, and failing, to define what a terrorist is, Koffi Annan, the UN Secretary General, took charge of the process and has determined that in order to call someone a terrorists they have to be Jewish.

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan on Friday condemned a deadly shooting rampage by a Jewish extremist in northern Israel as a "terrorist act", saying it illustrated the "dangers of fanaticism" in an atmosphere of tension.

An ultra-rightist teenage soldier shot and killed four Israeli Arabs on a bus in the northern town of Shfaram Thursday in a row over Israel's imminent withdrawal from the Gaza Strip before being lynched by local residents.

"The Secretary-General condemns this terrorist act," Annan's spokesman Stephane Dujarric said. "The incident is not only a painful tragedy but also a cautionary tale, vividly illustrating the dangers of fanaticism run amok in an atmosphere of tension at a crucial time."

Thanks for the clarification Mr. Annan.
