Iraq - Hypocrite Muslim world unites to beg

for the lives of anti-war activists.

I disagree with their views and what they're doing, but I don't want to seem them killed. However, I find it hypocritical of the Muslim world to "unite" and call for their release while remaining silent on all the other hostages who have been kidnapped, tortured and beheaded.

"THE head of the world's oldest Islamic movement has called for the immediate release of British hostage Norman Kember, whose kidnappers have said they will carry out their threat of execution today.

Mohammed Mahdi Akef, president of the banned Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, is the latest leading Muslim to urge the kidnappers to release their captives. In a message broadcast on al-Jazeera, Mr Akef said kidnapping innocent people was against the principles of Islam. "

Well, Muslim hypocrite, why aren't you calling for the release of all hostages and condemning all Muslim terrorists as un-Islamic?

And former hostage Terry Waite takes the biscuit. Listen to this bull:

"As far as other people go, I would say it is probably quite unwise at this stage of the peace campaign to go into the middle of that situation, for the simple reason that the situation is so polarised and in a polarised situation you really don't stand much chance."

Ah, so long as they are "peace campaigners" (anti-war activists to you and me) you'll make the effort but everybody else can just go to hell.

Al Qaeda must take great comfort in this.
