Bangladesh - Security tight as Muslims gather

The BBC reports.

Tight security is in place in Bangladesh as more than a million Muslims gather for the biggest annual Islamic event after the hajj.

Around 22,000 troops have been seconded to guard the three-day World Muslim Congregation, Biswa Ijtema, at Tongi near the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka.

Er, excuse me, but if Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance the left keep going on about, why the need for all this security?

Are they afraid of an attack from some crazy Christians or Jews?

In recent months Bangladesh has been hit by a wave of attacks linked to a banned Islamic group.

The group, Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB) want to impose strict Islamic Sharia law in the country.

At least 28 people have died in the attacks.

So, you're saying Muslims fear an attack from Muslims? That right?

This Sharia law must be a fearsome thing for the religion of peace and tolerance to attack itself.

Wonder why Britain is in a hurry to adopt Sharia law?

The Islamization of Britain continues.
