Palestinian elections

There's lots of talk and analysis all over the internet over the Hamas win. But this raises an interesting question for the US.

The US gives millions to the Palestinians every year. Now that Hamas is the government of the Palestinians and Hamas is a designated terrorist group by America, how can the US continue to fund them?
