US - Fake Turkey won't "die"

The Washington Post is no insignificant newspaper and Howard Kurtz is no small time reporter and since the debunking of the fake turkey story was so widely published, you have to wonder why they keep peddling the story.

The Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz on Bush’s Afghanistan visit:

So while it was a great presidential photo-op (without the fake turkey), it also forced journalists …

… to keep repeating myths about fake turkeys.

Maybe the New York Times, who made the origianl "mistake", should put a correction on the front page saying: "Folks, once and for all, the damn turkey was real". But the truth doesn't fit MSM's agenda.
