US - Spy charges pit security against privacy

The BBC reports on the latest intelligence leak.

You may remember that Mary McCarthy's leak about alleged secret CIA prisons (two European investigations found no evidence they existed) was timed to conincide with Condi Rice's trip to Europe. The timed leak damaged US security interest abroad and just about ruined Rice's trip.

Now this leak about NSA wiretaps is timed to conincide with General Michael Hayden's, the former head of the NSA, nomination as head of the CIA.

All of these leaks are political and treasonous. McCarthy was fired and should go to jail. Whoever leaked this should get the same. It's time the govenment put a stop to these leaks.

Those that are crying about the NSA program are the same ones that argued that Bush didn't do enough to connect the dots before 9/11.

Other than Bush bashing, you won't get much real informaion about the story from the left wing media. For that see Michelle, Gateway Pundit and Instapundit.

Bottom line, Congress knew about the program, it's old news, the only thing new are the details provided by another leaker and MSM are foaming at the mouth to have another go at Bush.

This is the state of America today. The Left in their blind hate of Bush and their rage at being out of power for so long, will sacrifice the security of America by aiding al Qaeda, all in an attempt to regain power.
