Broadband update

One more day!

What a pain this has been. It's not just the blogging, it's the kids homework as well. You don't realize how easy the internet makes it till you don't have it. Still, it's good to know you can still get things done the old fashion way.

Some have commented that this problem shouldn't exist in this day and age. Well, I'm always reminded that no how bad things seem for you, they can be a lot worse for others. Case in point.

A friend of mine runs his own business and does all his banking online. He called me the other day in a panic because he couldn't access his online accounts. Long story short, Internet Explorer would no longer work with his online bank. I kid you not. This is a major UK bank. Their solution from their IT help line? Install a different browser. The help line said they had been having this problem for a couple of weeks now with lots of business customers and were sending people to a website where they could download the new browser. I did as they suggested and it works.

I use the same bank and IE works fine. The problem seems to be with certain business clients.

Anyway, I hope to be up and blogging tomorrow.
