You may recall this from a previous CHB scandal.
UPDATE: This is more fun than I thought. Kevin Drum had a post discussing the CHB con job which refers to a "'CIA advisor' named Terrance J. Wilkinson" and which says:
YELLOWCAKE UPDATE....Yesterday I wrote a post about a story in Capitol Hill Blue in which a "CIA advisor" named Terrance J. Wilkinson claimed that he was present at White House briefings where George Bush was told that the Niger uranium story was bogus.
"I'm not sure how seriously to take this," I wrote, and it turns out that the answer is, "Not at all." Writing in Capitol Hill Blue today, publisher Doug Thompson says, "I've been had big time." Wilkinson is a fake and the briefings never took place.
And as when the last scandal was uncovered, CHB is stealth editing out all references to the latest non-existent source.
Some are giving CHB the benefit of the doubt as it's hard to prove something or someone doesn't exist. But given how fast CHB is erasing all reference to this latest non-existent source, it's probably a safe bet that CHB knows it's been caught - again.
I have screen shots of the before and after articles showing the deletions of "George Harleigh".
There's nothing new in this as I've been documenting the media's fake stories for awhile now. What's interesting to me is that, in this day of the internet and bloggers, people still think they can get away with it.
What's also interesting is that, most if not all, of these fake stories involve attacks on Bush or the right. Interesting that.
There's one more bit of deleting CHB needs to do. Here's what CHB has to say at the bottom of their homepage.
They may take our privacy seriously but can anyone take CHB seriously anymore?
