UK - "IF YOU'RE A MUSLIM - IT'S YOUR PROBLEM"

God Damn right and kudos to the News of the World for publishing it.

When will they declare, loud and clear, with no qualifications or quibbles about Britain's foreign policy, that Islamic terrorism is WRONG?

Most of all, when will the Muslim community in this country accept an absolute, undeniable, total truth: that Islamic terrorism is THEIR problem? THEY own it. And it is THEIR duty to face it and eradicate it.

To stop the denial, endless fudging and constant wailing that somehow it is everyone else's problem and, if Islamic terrorism exists at all, they are somehow the main victims.

Because until that happens the problem will never be resolved. And there will be more 7/7s and, sometime in the future, another airplane plot will succeed with horrific loss of innocent life.

Equally important, those British politicians who have seemed obsessed with pandering to, and even encouraging, this state of denial, must throw off their politically-correct blinkers and recognise the same truth—that Muslim terrorism in Britain is the direct responsibility of British Muslims.

Something I and others have been calling for for over two years now.

He's right about this but it's never going to happen.

And until every single member of the Muslim community believes that and preaches that—from an ordinary parent to imam or madrassa teacher—terrorism can't be beaten.

For that to happen you have to reform Islam for Islam is the root of the entire problem. Until we all admit that, Muslim terror attacks and Muslim abuses around the world will continue.

It would seem a tremenous amount of people agree. The BBC, the government and Muslims should pay attention to what these people are saying.

The MPs and "so-called" moderate Molems are doing the work of Al Qaeda by suggesting the British foreign policy should be changed to appease Islamic sentiments. British foreign policy is a matter for the UK Government which has to take into account the views of all British citizens. Linking foreign policy with Fundamentalist attacks in the UK is an attempt to blackmail the Government into adopting Islamic policies.

Moslems chose to come and live in Britain since the 1950s . If they would prefer to live in a country that promotes Islamic ideals and policies, then there are many Islamic nations to which they could move rather than staying where their views are not representative or welcome.

The signatories of that letter appear far too ready to empathise with the terrorist mentality, instead of condemning it unequivocally in the most forthright terms.
How dare they call themselves moderates ! There is nothing moderate about calling upon the UK government to change its foreign policy as a response to terrorist threats from members of their own community. It's simply a hard cop, soft cop routine.
I believe that Thursday 10th August 2006 will come to be seen as a watershed day in UK history, the day that the scales finally fell from our eyes. The true nature of so-called "moderate" Islam is now plain for all to see.

When I watched at BBC International channel this morning, I get the sad feeling that whatever these islamist radicals plot or spread terror, your channel try to find them some understandable reasons, and to consider they are not totally guilty for their acts. What will be the next step ? apply sharia in Europe otherwise these islamist radicals don't feel integrated in Europe ? and otherwise they would blow up Canterbury Cathedral or Eiffel Tower ?

I cannot believe the audacity of the muslim community in Britain. Instead of helping to stop fundamentalist terrorism inside their own community, they produce this "plea" that translates to dictation of a free nation's foreign policy to that which the islamists want it to be. Shame!
