UK - Terror plot to blow up 20 planes

Just yesterday I posted that 13 terror plots had been stopped in the last six years. I said it's when not if.

Now it's reported a terrorist plot to blow up 20 planes has been averted.

A terrorist plot to blow up planes in mid-flight from the UK to the US has been disrupted, Scotland Yard has said.

It is thought the plan was to detonate explosive devices smuggled on aircraft in hand luggage.

Police have arrested about 18 people in the London area after an anti-terrorist operation lasting several months.

Security at all airports in the UK has been tightened and delays are expected. MI5 has raised the UK threat level to critical - the highest possible.

The reports are that there have now been 20 arrested.

As usual the BBC leave out the important details. For that we go to Sky News. Sky reports that all those arrested were British born - Asian men. But even Sky is afraid to use the words terror and Muslim in the same report.

Watch now as the Left wail and moan, if only we would get out of Afghanistan and Iraq none of this would be happening. Further, the left will say this is a direct result of the current fighting in Lebanon. You can shoot that last theory down quickly with this from the BBC: "Police have arrested about 18 people in the London area after an anti-terrorist operation lasting several months. " This Muslim terror plot was planned long before the current fighting in Lebanon.

As for Afghanistan and Iraq, ask the Left what was the motivation for trying to fly a plane into Parliament on 9/11? That was well before both of those wars.

This is not going to end until governments and the public acknowledge who the enemy is and take the fight to them. Tony Blair came the closest recently when he called for the reformation of Islam.
