"The answer is that Britain has become an incubator for violent Islamic extremism, fueled by disenchantment at home and growing rage about events abroad, including the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."
No reason is given by the Post for the many attacks on the West by Mulsims before those wars. Nor is one give for the failed Muslim terror plot to fly a plane into Parliament on 9/11 - before either of those wars.
Here's another myth the Post spreads:
In one of Europe's largest Muslim communities, young men face a lack of jobs, poor educational achievement and discrimination in a highly class-oriented culture. Prime Minister Tony Blair is the most outspoken ally of President Bush, and their policies in Iraq and Afghanistan are seen by many Muslims as aimed at Islam.
And yet, time and time again, the Muslim terrorists are shown to be well educated and from upper income families.
Still, the Post gives you a clue to one of the causes problem.
Britain's long tradition of tolerance has made it an oasis for immigrants and political outcasts from around the world, with its large influx of Pakistanis and other Muslims leading to the nickname Londonistan. Especially during the 1980s and 1990s, Britain became the refuge of choice for scores of Islamic radicals who had been expelled or exiled from their home countries for their inflammatory sermons and speeches.
More than any other country in Europe, Britain is struggling to cope with a surge in recruits and supporters of radical Islamic networks, according to interviews with British Muslims, and European and British counterterrorism officials and analysts. Officials said the threat is growing much faster than British authorities had expected or planned for.
Without knowing it the Post admits one of the real causes of the problem - Britain's tolerance of terrorists from other countries. Muslims claim they entered into a covenant with British authorities. In exchange for not attacking targets in Britain, Muslim terrorists would be allowed to export terrorism around the world. Eighteen months ago British Muslims declared that covenant broken and delcared war here in Britain.
LONDON, Jan. 10 [2005] (UPI) -- Muslims living in Britain are facing two choices; either to migrate or to join the jihad, a key Islamic figure has said.
Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammed, leader of the now officially disbanded Islamic militant group Al Muhajiroun told United Press International Saturday that as the covenant of security under which Muslims previously lived in Britain has been broken, Muslims must now consider themselves at war.
"And I declare we should ourselves join the global Islamic camp against the global crusade camp," he said.
And they declare bin Laden is their leader.
He called on Muslims to form a new coalition united behind al-Qaida with Osama Bin Laden as their leader.
The authorities ignored them and six months later, on 7/7, British Muslims carried out a terror attack on London. Another one a week later was foiled. And one year on another attack was foiled.
The Post goes on and gives an inkling into the true nature of the threat.
The attacks last summer, and this week's disclosure of a plot to bomb jumbo jets from the sky, have created a sense of unease not often seen in a nation that stoically endured some of World War II's worst bombings and a 30-year campaign of violence by the Irish Republican Army. Being a target of a new kind of terror -- one without specific demands, that seems to many here to be motivated by vengeance and hate -- has created a new uncertainty.
Close but not quite right. There is only one demand - Britain must become an Islamic state. They've stated that publicly.
Like so many others in the media, the left and govenment (I know, I'm repeating myself), the Post quotes what they consider moderate Muslim groups without exposing their radical connections and leanings.
Asghar Bukhari of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee, which advocates Muslim involvement in the democratic process and opposes violence, said, "It's not hard to comprehend the mind of a Muslim." He said young British Muslims look around the world and "everywhere they [Muslims] are getting bombed," so they increasingly respond by saying, "Don't just sit down and take it -- let's fight them."
What the Post doesn't report and the MPAC won't admit, is that far more Muslims are being killed daily around the world by Muslims! They go on to give graphic evidence of what the West is doing to Muslims, but nothing of the far greater scale of death and destruction Muslims are doing to fellow Muslims.
The Post goes on to quote the Muslim Council of Britain, going so far as to call them "moderate". They are nothing of the sort. Search my blog using MCB and MAB and you'll see the terror connections to both of these so called "moderate" groups.
What everyone does not want to admit is that the real root of the whole problem is hate and intolerance preached by Islam. Islam is the root of the whole problem.
