US - Viewers Say TV News Lacks Credibility

That's according to this poll.

Bloggers can take a lot of the credit for exposing the left wing bias in the media.

I found this part interesting.

Cable has fared no better. Back in 1998, CNN boasted a stellar 42 percent approval rate, only to drop to 28 percent this year. Rival Fox News Channel has remained steady since it was first added to the Pew study in 2000; that year, 26 percent of respondents said they trusted FNC, a figure that is more or less consistent with the 25 percent approval rate in 2006.

Hang on a minute. Fox News approval rating has remained constant for the last 6 years while CNN dropped 14%. I'd say just on that basis alone Fox News fared much better than CNN.

Think about it. CNN started it all and was launched in 1980 - a full 16 years ahead of Fox. And yet they are almost tied in their approval ratings. Further, Fox News audience is now at 85 million US households - almost the same as CNN.

The combination of Fox News and bloggers exposing the left wing bias in the media, are opening the eyes of millions of people in America.

Now we need to continue the work here in Europe and open their eyes.
