US - New Laws and Machines May Spell Voting Woes

The Democrats are gearing up to claim voter fraud when they lose.

The Democrats always claim voter fraud when they lose. They did the same thing after Kerry lost Ohio in 2004. But the Democrats own report showed there was no voter fraud and Kerry would have lost the election without the minor administration problems.

Democratic Party officials charged yesterday that the election system in Ohio broke down in last year's presidential race, citing numerous problems that frustrated or disenfranchised voters while concluding there was no evidence of fraud in the outcome.
[...]

Walter R. Mebane Jr., a professor of government at Cornell University and member of the task force, said Ohio suffered from a "gross administrative failure" on Election Day. But he later said there was no "support whatsoever for the claim that there was a large-scale misallocation of vote from [Democratic nominee John F.] Kerry to [President] Bush in Ohio" and said it is highly unlikely Kerry would have won the state in any case.

Remember, this is the Democrats own report. Here's what the report itself says. (PDF)

The statistical study of precinct-level data does not suggest the
occurrence of widespread fraud
that systematically misallocated votes
from Kerry to Bush.

• The tendency to vote for Kerry in 2004 was the same as the tendency
to vote for the Democratic candidate for governor in 2002 (Hagan).
That the pattern of voting for Kerry is so similar to the pattern of
voting for the Democratic candidate for governor in 2002 is, in the
opinion of the team’s political science experts, strong evidence
against
the claim that widespread fraud systematically misallocated
votes from Kerry to Bush.

On the other hand, the Democrat voter fraud machine is in high gear already.
