Iraq - John Kerry in a hole but keeps digging.

Kerry gets caught on video denegrating our troops and instead of apologizing, Kerry digs deeper.

"Kerry, a decorated Vietnam veteran and Bush's rival in 2004, fired back, saying the president and his administration are the ones who owe U.S. troops an apology because they "misled America into war..."

Oh really, Flipper? You sang a different tune back in 2004.

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz., Aug. 9 -- Responding to President Bush's challenge to clarify his position, Sen. John F. Kerry said Monday that he still would have voted to authorize the war in Iraq even if he had known then that U.S. and allied forces would not find weapons of mass destruction.

Got that? Kerry would still have voted for the war! You weren't misled Flipper, you just flipped. You can see just how far Flipper has flipped from this video in 2003 where he admits Iraq had WMD.

Here's the video of Flipper denegrating our troops.

Iraq - John Kerry: the return of flipper

Remember back in 2004 John Kerry said this:

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz., Aug. 9 -- Responding to President Bush's challenge to clarify his position, Sen. John F. Kerry said Monday that he still would have voted to authorize the war in Iraq even if he had known then that U.S. and allied forces would not find weapons of mass destruction.

That's strange since in 2003 Kerry admitted publicly, on national television, that Iraq, indeed, did have WMD.

Now, Flipper says even though Iraq had WMD, but even if they didn't he would still vote for the war, the whole thing was a lie. That's not nuance, that's a pretzel.

"I'm in a fighting mood," Kerry responded. "We -- together -- lost to two lies: the lie about the war in Iraq, and the lie about me personally.

UK - BBC tries to silence its critics

Recently I posted a comment on the BBC's editor blog refuting their defense that the BBC is biased. Helen refused to post my comment.

Here's what I said:

"If what the Mail reported is not accurate, why is the report being delt with here on the editors blog and not on the BBC's main webpage? These are serious allegations and if the Mail is making false allegations one would have thought it news worthy enough for the front page.

If the meeting was streamed over the web as you claim, can you give us a link to the stream? Or was it streamed over the BBC's own internal intranet? If so, that's still secret as far as the public is concerned.

I've documented the BBC's anti American, anti Israeli and pro Islamist agenda for years now. Here's a link to the evidence against the BBC.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The provocative film "Death of a President," which imagines the assassination of U.S. President George W. Bush, bombed at the North American box office with a meagre $282,000 (149,000 pounds) grossed from 143 theatres in its first weekend.

Iraq - In Iraqi villages, troops see strides

Nice to see some noticing.

But in some of the small towns that ring the southern edge of Baghdad, the situation is quite different. For many residents, the daily dose of roadside bombs and gunshots that plague the capital is glimpsed only on television. Here, U.S. forces work to provide more electricity, to ensure water supplies are clean and to fix roads. The locals appear to appreciate it, but they also appear to genuinely fear what could happen if U.S. forces leave. [...]

In Mustafar, residents are just beginning to trust the Iraqi police, a ragtag group that periodically makes the short trek from its checkpoint into town to buy lunch or gifts. So far, no one has tried to sneak weapons past the checkpoint, and there has been no violence in the village for weeks.

It has also been peaceful in nearby Abu Hillan, a tiny collection of houses of Sunni Arabs along a strip of dirt road. Residents there recently teamed with a neighboring town and with U.S. soldiers to tap into an electrical substation, boosting their daily availability of electricity from about two hours to more than 20.

Iraq - John Kerry calls US troops stupid

This is how the Democrats "support" our troops. While our brave men and women are fighting and defending America half way around the world, back home a leading Democrat says they're there because their stupid. These are the people who want lead our country.

If the Democrats think our troops are stupid, what does that say about the Democrats ability to protect America?

Here's a transcipt.

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

This is the typical denegration of our troops from the Democrats. To the Democrats our troops are either poor or stupid, why else would they volunteer to fight for America? Patiotism is unknown to the Democrats. Ted Kennedy's KGB connections are proof of that.

But like most things that come out of Kerry and the Democrats mouths, the truth is quite different.

"Or was the decision made so freely? Could it be that unscrupulous Pentagon recruiters duped them, taking advantage of their poverty, their lack of education and the bleak futures they share as members of the USA's urban underclass?

That's the view of some critics, such as New York Times columnist Bob Herbert, who writes that "very few" of the soldiers fighting in Iraq "are coming from the privileged economic classes," and that there would likely be no war if rich kids had to fight. According to Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., social equality demands reinstatement of the draft, which he justifies by asserting that "the most privileged Americans are underrepresented or absent." Herbert concludes that there is "something very, very wrong with this picture."

What's "very, very wrong" with the Rangel-Herbert picture is that it has no factual basis.

According to a comprehensive study of all enlistees for the years 1998-99 and 2003 that The Heritage Foundation just released, the typical recruit in the all-volunteer force is wealthier, more educated and more rural than the average 18- to 24-year-old citizen is. Indeed, for every two recruits coming from the poorest neighborhoods, there are three recruits coming from the richest neighborhoods."

Truth simply does not matter to the Democrats. They will lie and say anything to get back in power. What's Kerry's and Pelosi's stance on Iraq's WMD? According to these two morons Bush lied about them. Which overlooks the stunning obvious question - if Bush lied about them didn't he and the government know they'd be found out once we were in Iraq? Why not plant a few WMD if you're going to lie about them.

Here's a ton of proof to bury the Democrats with on that score. Here, watch and listen to Kerry and Pelosi admit Iraq had WMD.

Confused? So are the Democrats.

UPDATE

When Kerry supporters start claiming Kerry was referring to Bush and not the troops, remind them Kerry voted for the war in Iraq.

Also, bear in mind the audience Kerry was talking to.

Kerry told the Pasadena City College crowd to study hard and get an education -- or wind up like the losers in the military:

Kerry was talking to college students and telling them to make an effort to "be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq."

US - Anti-war Democrat fighting a losing battle

Even the British have noticed Lamont has failed.

Liberal members of the Democratic Party hailed him as the bright new hope for the American Left after internet activists created the momentum that helped him to slay Senator Joe Lieberman, one of his party's big beasts.

But Ned Lamont has failed to make the transition from plucky underdog to official Democratic nominee. Despite pouring millions from his personal fortune into his campaign to become Connecticut's next senator, he is trailing Mr Lieberman by up to 17 points in opinion polls.

Standing in a half-empty village library, Mr Lamont, a fibre optics entrepreneur, is far from the assured candidate of the summer. Now, even voters in liberal New England are beginning to question whether his strident demands for troops to be brought home from Iraq will make America or the Middle East safer.

Courageous film-makers documenting where terrorism comes from

EU Referendum reports.

Iraq - Sadr himself approved Sadr City raid: aide

Now that's interesting.

NAJAF, Iraq (AFP) - Moqtada al-Sadr gave the go-ahead to a US-led raid on the bastion of his Mahdi Army militia in Baghdad and plans to purge his movement of violent elements, according to an aide to the radical cleric.

Sheikh Abdel Razzaq al-Naddawi, a senior assistant to the firebrand Shiite preacher, said Sadr had given the green light to last week's action by US and Iraqi forces after meeting Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

"It was meant to pinpoint the bad elements and hold them accountable before the law," Naddawi told AFP in the Shiite holy city of Najaf. "This movement does not protect those who abuse people and the innocent."

UK - Olympic-Size London Mosque Stirs Fear

Try and build a similar size church in Saudi Arabia.

Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Every Friday, Abdul Khaliq heads down a deserted lane with hundreds of other Muslim men to pray at a temporary shelter on a windswept wasteland in east London. He's waiting for the shacks to be replaced by Europe's biggest mosque.

``We are going to produce a landmark, something not seen in this country before,'' said Khaliq, project manager for the global Islamic missionary movement Tablighi Jamaat, which plans to spend at least 100 million pounds ($190 million) to build the mosque. Khaliq and his friends call it the London Markaz; neighbors in the borough of Newham dub it the ``Mega Mosque.''

THE Italian feminist politician Daniela Santanche has been given 24-hour police protection after her strident views on the Muslim veil drew an apparent death sentence from an imam.

On a television chat show, Santanche, 45, an MP for the right-wing National Alliance party, clashed with Ali Abu Shwaima, the imam of a mosque near Milan.

“The veil isn’t a religious symbol and it isn’t prescribed by the Koran,” she said. “And in our country there is a law which forbids – for reasons of terrorism – people going around with masks on.”

Shwaima, an Italian national, retorted: “The veil is an obligation required by God. Those who do not believe that are not Muslims.

“You’re an ignoramus, you’re false. You sow hatred, you’re an infidel.”

More voter fraud from the Democrats.

"I See Dead People (Voting)":
An analysis of state-wide records by the Poughkeepsie Journal reveals that 77,000 dead people remain on election rolls in New York State, and some 2,600 may have managed to vote after they had died. The study also found that Democrats are more successful at voting after death than Republicans, by a margin of four-to-one, largely because so many dead people seem to vote in Democrat-dominated New York City.

Not much has changed over the years. Even Bob Hope noticed it way back when.

Afghanistan - Taliban plan to fight through winter to throttle Kabul

Cheers the Guardian!! And the Guardian relays the Taleban's war aim.

Militia fighters are operating just an hour's drive from the capital's suburbs, confident of undermining Western support for the war.

Now how does the Guardian know that the Taleban are "confident of undermining Western support for the war"? Because the Guardian is working with the Taleban to do just that.

Here Brigadier Butler calls the Guardian out for lying.

Your front-page story (Iraq war cost years of progress, October 18) paints a misleading and mischievous picture of what I said at a media briefing on Tuesday. It omits some of my comments and extrapolates meaning and intention from others which is completely false. I did not say the operation in Iraq had cost "years of progress" in Afghanistan; I did not say it had left "a dangerous vacuum"; and I did not say that British soldiers faced a tougher task now because of it.

The Guardian flat out lied.

When I first read the Guardian's headline, I thought it sounded familiar and here's why. This is from two weeks ago.

NATO also said it was launching a new countrywide military operation with Afghan forces to maintain pressure on the Taliban over the fall and winter, and pave the way for long-promised development after the bitterest fighting in five years.

The Guardian wants to get the Taleban's message out so if we start taking casualties over the winter, the Guardian can claim it's due to a Taleban "offense".

The Taliban are planning a major winter offensive combining their diverse factions in a push on the Afghan capital, Kabul, intelligence analysts and sources among the militia have revealed.

Which intelligence analysts the Guardian does not say. Probably Fisk or Pilger. No wait, they would be the sources among the militia. Or would that be the Guardian?

The thrust will involve a concerted attempt to take control of surrounding provinces, a bid to cut the key commercial highway linking the capital with the eastern city of Jalalabad, and operations designed to tie down British and other Nato troops in the south.

You mean thrusts like like this.

"Initial battle damage assessment indicates that up to 55 insurgents were killed," NATO said. One Afghan soldier was also wounded.

A 55-0 kill ratio in our favor.

I'm not going to waste my time "Fisking" the rest of this bird cage liner.

Read the whole thing but here's the conclusion.

Wearing the veil accords the wearer what British columnist Melanie Phillips refers to as a "radical imbalance of power" in that it gives the veil-wearer the advantage of reading the facial expressions of others, while keeping her own reactions hidden. It is beginning to be viewed in Britain not as a symbol of female subjugation, but as a weapon of aggression and radical Islam. The British-born mothers of these young Pakistani-heritage veil-wearing women did not wear the veil.

Which it is.

And nearly half were killed. But to hear the left wing media portray the situation in Afghanistan, we're the one's losing.

Notice what's missing from the BBC's version? How many coalition forces were killed? For that we turn to CNN.

"Initial battle damage assessment indicates that up to 55 insurgents were killed," NATO said. One Afghan soldier was also wounded.

A kill ratio of 55-0. The BBC usually trumpet every single calition casualty, so you can see why they left that part out in this case.

Malaysia - US couple harassed by Islamic officials

The Gulf Times reports.

Randall Barnhart, 62, and his wife Carole, 61, were rudely awakened in their rented apartment in the early hours of the morning earlier this month by religious officials conducting a raid on ‘khalwat’ couples.

Under Islamic law, which operates alongside the civil code in multicultural Malaysia, ‘khalwat’ - close proximity between a man and a woman who are not married - is forbidden.

The couple, who were on a six-week sailing holiday in Malaysia, have been married for 42 years and are Christians.

Remember, 40% of British Muslims want Islamic law in Britain.

UK - Prison chapel turned into mosque

First it was banning the English flag because it was offensive to Muslim inmates and now this.

A Christian chapel at Britain's largest jail is to be turned into a Mosque, it emerged last night.

A surge in Muslim inmates at London's Wandsworth Prison - where they now make-up almost a fifth of all prisoners - has left them without enough room to pray.

The Prison Service has responded by closing the Anglican chapel and telling Church of England convicts they must share with Roman Catholics.

Dr Sajid, visiting Australia, said that Sheikh al-Hilali was attacking immodesty and loose dress, or “standing in the streets, inviting men to do these bad acts”.

The BBC downplayed Hilali's speech and that's to be expected as the BBC supports islamists, but why is the Times downplaying it? Here's is what Hilali said. Puts things in a different light doesn't it?

CARACAS, Venezuela (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on Friday that Cuban leader Fidel Castro was walking about and making nocturnal trips outside Havana, countering rumors the ailing 80-year-old was dead.[...]

"He is walking about and goes out at night to visit the countryside, villages and towns," Chavez told cocoa workers east of Caracas.

Latin American media simmered with speculation that Castro died at the weekend, conjecturing Chavez had canceled appointments last Saturday to say farewell.

And Jefferson never mentions that the other two principals in the case have already pled guilty and have been convicted.

US - The New York Times on “Real Terrorists”

For the Record reports.

Oct. 27, 2006 —This week’s exchange with the New York Times isn’t the first time the Department of Defense has expressed concern about inaccuracies in a Times editorial. A September 7 editorial (“A Sudden Sense of Urgency”) asserted that, with the transfer of 14 high-value terrorist suspects to Cuba, “President Bush finally has some real terrorists in Guantánamo Bay.” In fact, those held prior to the transfer included personal bodyguards of Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda recruiters, trainers, and facilitators. Another individual held at Guantánamo was Mohamed al-Kahtani, believed to be the intended 20th hijacker on September 11th. The Times declined to issue a correction, noting that “the phrase in question was meant to be somewhat lighthearted in tone and not literal.” Read the full exchange here.

So, terrorism is "lighthearted" to the New York Times. Now there's a shocker.

Iraq - Rumsfeld Comments Mischaracterized

For the Record reports.

Oct. 27, 2006 — Several news outlets, including the AP and Washington Post, reported or headlined incorrectly that Secretary Rumsfeld told “critics” to “back off” during yesterday’s press briefing. In fact, the Secretary was referring specifically to journalists who were seeking to create a perception of major divisions between the positions of the U.S. and Iraqi governments. He was not referring to critics of the administration’s Iraq policy. Read the DOD letter to the Washington Post. Read the transcript of Secretary Rumsfeld’s press conference.

Just what you'd expect from the left wing media.

US - No fans of Murtha

Count me in. Here's why.

We cannot forgive Murtha for his acceptance of an award from one of the most America-hating groups in existence: Code Pink. This organization has nothing to do with cures for cancer or any other beneficial purpose; it is a Marxist-led organization with roots in the communist-led anti-war movement of the 1960s. Each Friday afternoon, they congregate outside Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C., and harass wounded troops and their families. What could be more despicable?

Is it coincidence that Murtha's love affair with Code Pink is related to his endorsement by the national organ of the Communist Party USA -- the People's Weekly World? Is it "Red-baiting" to question why John Murtha has become so closely aligned with the radical left? I don't think so.

Here's a picture of Murtha with the communist Code Pink.

It's not just Murtha that's in love with the Communist Code Pink. Here's Howard Dean expressing his support.

U.S. Voters Not Swayed by Foley Case

to the dismay of the Democrats.

Few adults in the United States believe a recent scandal involving a lawmaker will affect their vote, according to a poll by Zogby International released by Reuters. Only 22 per cent of respondents think the Mark Foley case will have an impact on how they cast their ballot.

That's probably because, as sleasy as Foley was, there doesn't appear to have been any crime committed and Foley promptly resigned. There are some interesting sings that this time.

On Saturday, his sycophant, Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez, flew into Havana (scroll down), possibly to bid a final farewell to his Cuban master. And Brazil’s President Lula da Silva made a slip of the tongue last weekend, saying ‘when Castro was alive…’ forgetting no one had announced that The Beast was dead. US - DOD takes on left wing censorship

About damn time.

October 27, 2006: The U.S. Department of Defense is now taking its requests for corrections public through a website known as For the Record (located at http://www.defenselink.mil/home/dodupdate/index-b.html). Here, the Department of Defense is openly calling for corrections from major media outlets, and even noting when they refuse to publish letters to the editor.

The most recent was this past Tuesday, when the DOD published a letter, that the New York Times refused to run, which contained quotes from five generals (former CENTCOM commander Tommy Franks, current CENTCOM commander John Abizaid, MNF Commander George Casey, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Richard Myers, as well as his successor, Peter Pace) that rebutted a New York Times editorial. This has been picked up by a number of bloggers who have been able to spread the Pentagon's rebuttal – and the efforts of the New York Times to sweep it under the rug – across the country.

This is long over due.

US - BBC bias gathering more attention

The Telegraph first notes the recent startling admissions from the BBC that they are anti American, anti British, pro Islamist and "...is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism."

"By and large, people who work at the BBC think the same and it's not the way the audience thinks. That's not long term sustainable."

"We pride ourselves on being 'of the people', and it's pathetic.....Channel 4 tends to laugh at people, the BBC ignores them."

Then the Telegraph points out:

The forces of reaction are conversely under-represented in pretty much every BBC panel show that I can think of. I'm not suggesting it has to bring back Jim Davidson, but are there any Right-wing funny men on the BBC? Meanwhile, any Guardian columnist who doesn't have a regular gig on the BBC needs, frankly, to change agents. That newspaper – or the Independent, if they're desperate – is the default button for BBC researchers phoning round for a studio guest.

The death, earlier this year, of Linda Smith, a regular on Radio 4's The News Quiz, and the subsequent glowing tributes to her caustic Left-wing wit from fellow panellists drove home the point that most of them were either serving or former Guardian columnists.

This no trivial matter. The BBC are openly supporting terrorism. Just today the BBC wrote a glowing report praising the Taleban, saying "There is no army on earth as mobile as the Taleban." Music to the terrorists ears no doubt and demoralizing to our troops on the battle field.

The Telegraph continues.

Anyone who could even be vaguely described as Right-of-centre is a rarity. Inevitably, this sets the terms of the debate. And so, as happened in the summer, when a panellist described George W. Bush as a warmongering moron, nobody so much as stirred in dissent. When, a month later, Newsnight tackled the controversy over Ken Loach's allegedly sympathetic film about the IRA, they interviewed two film critics. They were from the Guardian and the Independent on Sunday, and, sure enough, they agreed what a great director he was.

And the Telegraph notes how serious the BBC's problems are.

But does this all matter as much as accusing the Government of "sexing up" a dossier on WMD? Yes, more so. In embedding a liberal agenda in programmes where people's bias antennae may not be so finely tuned, the effect is more insidious. The rocks of the BBC's cultural assumptions are starting to fall apart somewhat: witness its second thoughts on its commitment to multi-culturalism. More reassessments will follow and the BBC, if it has any sense, should welcome them.

As it wrestles with the inevitable decline of its audience in the digital age, impartiality is that rare problem for the BBC – it's one that it can actually do something about.

But it won't. Like most of the left wing media, the BBC is too arrogant, it simply does not care what the public thinks. The BBC lies with impunity.

The BBC admits it lies in its reporting in Iraq but that doesn't stop them.

The BBC were caught red handed fabricating a UK Army desertion story. But that doesn't stop them.

In fact, the BBC have been caught red handed in all manner of fabrications, lies, spin, bias and outright support for terrorists.

The British public need to wake up to the danger the BBC pose to Western civilization and boycott the BBC until it is brought to heel.

US - Democrat Webb's attacks on Women

Webb's own writings seem to back these women up.

Webb’s novels disturbingly and consistently – indeed, almost uniformly – portray women as servile, subordinate, inept, incompetent, promiscuous, perverted, or some combination of these. In novel after novel, Webb assigns his female characters base, negative characteristics. In thousands of pages of fiction penned by Webb, there are few if any strong, admirable women or positive female role models.

UK - BBC Supports Rape-Excusing Aussie Imam

Charles explains.

Now, read the insane rantings of this Muslim cleric the BBC censor.

"Those atheists, people of the book (Christians and Jews), where will they end up? In Surfers Paradise? On the Gold Coast? Where will they end up? In hell and not part-time, for eternity. They are the worst in God’s creation."

"When it comes to adultery, it’s 90 percent the woman’s responsibility. Why? Because a woman owns the weapon of seduction. It’s she who takes off her clothes, shortens them, flirts, puts on make-up and powder and takes to the streets, God protect us, dallying. It’s she who shortens, raises and lowers. Then, it’s a look, a smile, a conversation, a greeting, a talk, a date, a meeting, a crime, then Long Bay jail. Then you get a judge, who has no mercy, and he gives you 65 years."

"But when it comes to this disaster, who started it? In his literature, writer al-Rafee says, if I came across a rape crime, I would discipline the man and order that the woman be jailed for life. Why would you do this, Rafee? He said because if she had not left the meat uncovered, the cat wouldn’t have snatched it."

This is the Left's religion of peace and tolerance.

Cuba - Castro is dying of stomach cancer

or may be dead already. Let's hope so.

This is an interesting angle on the rumors.

The Cuban government has been summoning to Havana representatives of the major international media to negotiate the best seats, camera angles, and interviews with the despot’s political survivors, and to inform them of the ground rules for coverage of the state funeral.

Watch for the world's left wing media to fawn all over him at the funeral.

UK - BBC: "no army on earth as mobile as the Taleban."

Now that the BBC has admitted that they are anti American, anti British, pro Islamist, they now openly support the Taleban.

The BBC's David Loyn has had exclusive access to Taleban forces mobilised against the British army in Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan.

There is no army on earth as mobile as the Taleban.

I remember it as their secret weapon when I travelled with them in the mid-1990s, as they swept aside rival mujahideen to take most of the country.

Well gee David, what happened just a couple of years later when the US led coalition defeated them in just a few months? Seems the most mobile army on earth high tailed it to Pakistan.

And David, how is it that the world's most mobile army, as you put it, is being hammered with kill ratios of 100-1?

David continues and seems to be writing a romantic novel rather than a news report. Then there's this:

They have surprised the British by the ferocity of their fighting and their willingness to take casualties.

Erm, David, why is it that the BBC reports on every single UK or coalition casualty but you refrain from publishing the Taleban's horrendous casualty figures? What's the Taleban death toll so far? Over 2000 killed with many more wounded or captured. If memory serves me right, UK casualties are around 40 in 3 years with almost half of them in accidents.

David goes on to give the Taleban a full airing with little comment.

"We rose up and saved almost the whole country from the evils of corruption and corrupt commanders. That's why people are supporting the Taleban again now."

David and the BBC make no mention of the savage and barbaric rule of the Taleban and how they tried to turn Afghanistan back to the stone ages. Or how they provided aid, comfort and sanctuary to al Qaeda who carried out the attacks on 9/11. Inconvient little details, eh David?

David goes on to unwittingly report the Taleban are committing war crimes.

They say that since they wear only the loose long cotton shirts and trousers - shalwar kameez - of any local villager, then the British cannot easily tell them apart.

Well, to be fair David, the RPG's and AK47's tend to give them away. That plus the fact that they are firing on our troops.

David ends with a fond look back at history.

But all know the story of Afghanistan's past victories over the British.

Engraved in their collective folk memory of Afghanistan's warrior history are tales of the defeat of the British in 1842 and 1880 along with the defeat of the Russians in the 1980s.

The Taleban disappeared to the mountains after their defeat in 2001, and found it hard to recruit.

Five years on they are back, and regrouping against an old enemy.

Notice how David paints the latest conflict as an Afghanistan fight against the British instead of the Taleban.

David and the BBC mislead you with that last sentence. The current conflict is an offensive opperation by the coalition to extend the Afghan governments rule over the remaining parts once ruled by the Taleban. And the Taleban are being soundly defeated. But I'm sure they appreciate the BBC's support.

How much longer till the government steps in and stops the BBC's support for terrorists?

UPDATE

Here's the BBC's mobile Taleban for you.

ISAF said in a statement overnight that in yesterday's incidents, "ISAF legitimately engaged attacking and positively identified insurgents, killing an estimated 48".

In the first clash, 30 to 40 rebels attacked an ISAF patrol base in the Panjwayi area. They were countered with mortar, artillery fire and close air support, the statement said.

Other insurgents later ambushed an Afghan army convoy.

"During these actions, 12 insurgents were killed and two wounded," it said.

In the next incident, troops used artillery to fire on a vehicle carrying insurgents yesterday, and 10 were believed to have been killed.

Later that night a large group of fighters was attacked with close air support and an estimated 26 were killed, the statement said. [...]

NATO officials said around 1000 Taliban were killed and others forced to flee. It was the Taliban's heaviest defeat since the hardliners were driven from power in late 2001, they said.

The Taleban are mobile alright, from the battlefield straight to the grave.

US - Markets sensing Republican win?

One thing the markets hate is uncertainty and a Democrat win in November or even a split would spell uncertainty for the markets. While a Republican win would signal stablility for the markets.

The latest great economic news may indicate the markets are expecting the Republicans to win this November.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Falling oil prices and rallying tech shares recharged the rally Thursday, pushing the Dow to another record high, the S&P 500 to an almost 6-year high and the Nasdaq to its highest point in 5-1/2 years.

And there's yet more good economic news.

Durable goods post biggest jump in 6 years

Add to all this great economic news the falling gas prices and unemployment and this could spell disaster for the Democrats.

All this comes despite the left wing media's support for the Democrats.

US - Durable goods post biggest jump in 6 years

That doesn't stop CNN from trying to downplay the good news.

Orders for durable goods -items meant to last three or more years - leaped a much greater-than-expected 7.8 percent in September on a rush of civilian aircraft orders, a Commerce Department report showed.

This comes on top of continuing records on Wall Street, falling gas prices and falling unemployment. All bad news for Democrats.

And that's a good thing.

France - Paris is burning

The London Times is covering

- for Muslims. This sounds like the BBC.

Armed youths today hijacked and burned a bus in Paris on the eve of the anniversary of the riots which tore through France last year.

Around ten hooded men, five of them carrying handguns, put a weapon to the head of the driver and forced him and his passengers off a bus heading to the eastern suburb of Montreuil in the early hours of the morning.

The gang then drove off in the vehicle before setting it alight in the second incident of its kind in Paris within a few hours.

In the other attack in the suburb of Nanterre around ten passengers scrambled to safety after a bus was boarded by a group of six youths who sprayed it with flammable liquid before starting a fire.

French Defence Minister Michele Alliot-Marie said the vandals were guilty of "attempted murder".

Drivers on the Montreuil line went on strike to protest against the attack while the Essonne local public transport network, TICE, said it was suspending all night time bus services on 17 routes because of "a series of "minor incidents".

As the first bus was being attacked youths...

Guys, these are Muslim terrorists. How long before they start killing the passengers?

US - Disgraced Jefferson basks in Louisiana's affection

I love some of the comments here.

If Jefferson was a Republican this scandal would be front page news till after the elections.

For the record, Jefferson, 59, has denied bribery allegations stemming from $90,000 in [FBI] marked $100 bills found in his freezer. He's known as a Bible-quoting Baptist who abstains from alcohol and tobacco.

But Jefferson refuses to say how $90K in marked FBI $100 bills wound up in his freezer.

You have to read down further to get more of the story.

Jefferson's latest money trouble stems from allegations in an FBI affidavit that he accepted $100,000 in cash in 2005 from an FBI informant in a scheme to bribe Nigerian telecommunications officials. All but $10,000 of the cash was found four days later [wrapped in tin foil] in the freezer of his Washington home, the FBI said.

Two of Jefferson's associates pleaded guilty to bribery-related charges; one, a Kentucky businessman, admitted paying more than $400,000 in bribes to a phony company headed by Jefferson's wife and family to obtain favors from the congressman.

Jefferson's corruption is limited to bribery.

But he was criticized because his law firm took lucrative contracts from Southern University and the attorney general's office while he served in the state Senate. But no punitive action was taken.

Questions lingered. Records show Jefferson defaulted on loans and was sued for poor maintenance of his extensive real estate holdings. He also overdrew the bank account of his congressional office, which Jefferson attributed to sloppy bookkeeping.

This is priceless:

"Who knows what goes on in your house? Nobody tells me where to put my dollars. If I to want to carry them in my pocket, if I want to carry in my sock, that's my business," said Helen Lang, the president of the Section 8 Resident Council, a community group that has endorsed Jefferson.

Well Helen, there's the rub, eh? It wasn't Jefferson's money to carry in his sock or wrap in tin foil and stash in his freezer. It was marked FBI money given to Jefferson by an undercover FBI informant.

No wonder Democrats have silently dropped Jefferson.

France - AP blames France for Bus Attacks

More support for the Islamist from the left wing media.

France's inability to better integrate minorities and recent violence against police are becoming major political issues as the campaign heats up for next year's presidential and parliamentary elections.

No mention of Muslims refusal to integrate into Western society.

US - Inside al Qaeda's plot to bomb Newark

If the Democrats had their way al Qaeda would succeed.

Besides the Newark site, they said he conspired to bomb the New York Stock Exchange, Citigroup Headquarters in New York, the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and to detonate explosive-packed limousines in underground parking lots in Great Britain. He also confessed plans to release a radiological "dirty bomb" in London.

"I plead guilty," Barot, a Muslim convert, said in his only substantive comments.

US - AP continues Plame myth

Like an old dog with a worn out shoe, the left wing media just can't let the Plame myth go.

Libby is the only person charged in the leak case. Plame believes the Bush administration leaked her name to reporters as retribution for her husband's criticism of prewar intelligence on Iraq.

Clever, no? "Plame believes". No mention of the fact that Richard Armitage of the State Department, no fried of the White House, has already admitted that he was the source.

Plame can believe in UFO's for all we know or care. But the AP has a responsiblity to tell the truth.

US - Democrats evade campaign finance law

they worked hard to enact.

When is a campaign donation not a campaign donation? Apparently if you spend the money to run a radio program instead of paying for campaign ads that run on that same program. Just look at Air America. With $41 million in losses since 2004, and $9.8 million owed just to Robert Glaser, RealNetworks chairman, Democrats who bankrolled this "company" weren't so much investors as campaign contributors. The losses are seen as simple business ineptitude, but Air America effectively, and perhaps intentionally, cleverly avoided the campaign finance limits which Democrats had worked so hard to pass.

With McCain-Feingold's "hard money" donation limits of $2,000 per candidate and "soft money" limits to party campaign committees of $57,500, there is no way that Mr. Glaser or other wealthy Democratic donors could have legally given such large sums directly to Democrats. But Air America provided a vehicle for their multimillion-dollar political campaigns.

Add to this the left wing media's support for the Democrats.

Terrorists Use Media to Manipulate American People

Terrorist aren't using the media, they're working together.

It further admits that they are anti American, anti British, pro Islamist and "...is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism." US - Democrat Jefferson's Re-Election Bid Has Party Fuming

Nice to see left wing NPR reporting this.

Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) is ensnared in a bribery investigation in which thousands of [FBI marked] dollars were found in his freezer. The FBI apparently has a video of him taking money, and several people have [been convicted after they] pled guilty in the case.

But Jefferson himself has not been charged with anything [yet] -- maintaining his innocence, he is running for re-election. His fellow Democrats are embarrassed, and the party in New Orleans has disowned him.

So why haven't the Democrats called for him to step down and if he doesn't kick him out of the party?

French FM changes his opinion on Israeli security wall

because it reduced Palestinian terror attacks by 80%. Hard to argue with success.

PARIS (EJP)--- French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy declared last week he has changed his opinion on Israel's controversial separation barrier in light of its drastic effect on terror, forcing French authorities to clarify their position on the issue. [...]

“I have significantly evolved on the matter of the separation fence” said Douste-Blazy on French Jewish television TFJ on Thursday. “Although the wall was a moral and ethical problem for me, when I realised terror attacks were reduced by 80 percent in the areas where the wall was erected, I understood I didn’t have the right to think that way.”

Neither does the rest of the world. Which is why many countries, Spain, Saudi Arabia and America, among others, are building them.

Iraq - NBC's Reporter: I'm A Pacifist, War Should Be Outlawed

News Busters reports.

Lot's of left wing media admissions lately.

First, the New York Times admits its left wing. Most recently, the Times admitted its revelation of the SWIFT banking anti terror program was wrong.

Then, the BBC admits that they are anti American, anti British, pro Islamist and "...is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism."

When the BBC tried to backtrack from that startling admission, a top BBC executive cofirmed the admission.

Klein said: "By and large, people who work at the BBC think the same and it's not the way the audience thinks. That's not long term sustainable."

"We pride ourselves on being 'of the people', and it's pathetic.....Channel 4 tends to laugh at people, the BBC ignores them."

Who's next, CBS?

Nice to see all these left wingers admitting their bias.

US - Most feel civil liberties not harmed by war on terror

More bad news for the Democrats. Seems America realizes what a danger the Democrats are.

(CNN) -- Most Americans do not believe the Bush administration has gone too far in restricting civil liberties as part of the war on terror, a new CNN poll released Thursday suggests.

While 39 percent of the 1,013 poll respondents said the Bush administration has gone too far, 34 percent said they believe the administration has been about right on the restrictions, according to the Opinion Research Corp. survey. Another 25 percent said the administration has not gone far enough.

Asked whether Bush has more power than any other U.S. president, 65 percent of poll respondents said no. Thirty-three percent said yes. Of those who said yes, a quarter said that was bad for the country.

That's 59% who say the President is about right or needs to go further and 65% say the Bush does not have more power than other Presidents. These are huge numbers and destroys the left's Hitler theme.

US - Democrats caught in massive voter fraud

It's the only way the Democrats can win.

Gateway Pundit has more and Riehl World takes a look at past Democrat voting fraud.

ACORN was also one of the Democrat groups caught committing voter fraud in Ohio during the last Presidential election. During that election, the Democrats were aided by left wing CBS who used forged documents in an attempt to steal the election.

That's the Democrats for you, they can't win on ideas so they have to cheat.

The man grabbed his young son in his arms, turned him upside down, and put the boy’s penis in his mouth.”

UK - BBC 'out of touch with the British public'

Out of touch with reality more like.

Klein said: "By and large, people who work at the BBC think the same and it's not the way the audience thinks. That's not long term sustainable."

"We pride ourselves on being 'of the people', and it's pathetic.....Channel 4 tends to laugh at people, the BBC ignores them."

His comments, reported in the corporation's in-house magazine, come on the back of news earlier this week that a string of BBC executives and journalists have admitted that the corporation is institutionally biased.

Details from a recent "impartiality" summit held at the BBC highlighted how some of the corporation's own top staff now believe it is guilty of promoting left-wing views, is biased against Christianity and as an organisation is disproportionately dominated by gays and ethnic minorities.

It was also claimed the BBC overtly promotes multiculturalism and is anti-American and anti-countryside.

I've been documenting this for almost three years.

Europe - The Rape of Europe

Brussels Journal reports.

Many Germans and Dutch, apparently, did not wait for Broder’s advice. The number of emigrants leaving the Netherlands and Germany has already surpassed the number of immigrants moving in. One does not have to be prophetic to predict, like Henryk Broder, that Europe is becoming Islamic. Just consider the demographics. The number of Muslims in contemporary Europe is estimated to be 50 million. It is expected to double in twenty years. By 2025, one third of all European children will be born to Muslim families. Today Mohammed is already the most popular name for new-born boys in Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and other major European cities.

Broder is convinced that the Europeans are not willing to oppose islamization. “The dominant ethos,” he told De Volkskrant, “is perfectly voiced by the stupid blonde woman author with whom I recently debated. She said that it is sometimes better to let yourself be raped than to risk serious injuries while resisting. She said it is sometimes better to avoid fighting than run the risk of death.”

That's the argument of the left.

Danish court rejects Muhammad cartoons lawsuit

Good for them!

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - A Danish court Thursday dismissed a defamation lawsuit against a newspaper that first published the Prophet Muhammad cartoons that touched off protests in the Islamic world.

The City Court in Aarhus rejected claims by seven Danish Muslim groups who said the 12 drawings printed in Jyllands-Posten were meant to insult the Prophet and make a mockery of Islam.

Islamic law forbids any depiction of the Prophet, even positive ones, to prevent idolatry.

Yeah, well Denmark isn't ruled by Islamic law - thank goodness.

France - Vandals set buses on fire in Paris suburbs

To al Reuters, Muslim terrorists trying to take over France are vandals.

The overnight incidents followed a daylight assault on a bus on Sunday. Youths on ethnically mixed estates around Paris have also staged several apparently concerted attacks on security forces in recent weeks.

Police say the violence has been building ahead of the October 27 anniversary of last year's riots in which angry youths from mainly immigrant backgrounds burnt cars and trashed shops for three weeks in a protest blamed on poverty and discrimination.

Then there's this.

In the Bagnolet attack, one assailant held a pistol to the head of a bus driver while others forced passengers to get off before they set the bus on fire.

That sound like "vandals" to you? Me neither. Must not offend Muslims you know.

UPDATE

Hell, to the BBC they're merely "youths"

Youths in the Paris suburbs have attacked two buses on the eve of the first anniversary of rioting among immigrant communities.
In Nanterre, northwestern Paris, about 10 passengers fled a bus as masked youths set it ablaze, police said.

A similar attack happened in Bagnolet, eastern Paris, where a youth held a gun to the bus driver's head while others set it on fire, officials said.

Police report a spate of youth violence ahead of the anniversary.

Defence Minister Michele Alliot-Marie accused the youths of attempted murder in the latest incidents.

Pesky little tykes, eh? What say? Giv'em a little pat on the bottom and send them on their way, eh? The little darlings are after all, as the BBC's John Simpson called the Muslim 7/7 terrorists who murdered 52 innocent men and women, simply "misguided criminals". Nothing a good guidance counselior couldn't fix, eh John?

Morons.

US - Muslim Brotherhood behind taxi dispute

There's nothing in Islam to forbid taxi drivers from transporting fares who carry alcohol. But some Muslim taxi drivers started refusing fares carrying alcohol. Turns out the Muslim Brotherhood is behind the scheme.

As I said when I first posted about this, any Musim taxi driver who refuses should have his taxi license pulled.

Charles has more.

This is why Muslim appeasement must not be allowed. Otherwise, you'll end up like Britain.

Australia - Some on Left awake to Islam's danger

Sadly, for Western civilization, there are too few.

Speaking of Muslims, this lefty had this to say.

"Thank goddess, as they used to say: a few Western feminists have begun to wonder why women who once marched for women's rights are marching alongside people who would take away even the most basic of those rights."

That's because, now that communism is almost dead, the left have joined forces with Islamists.

She goes on to note others are awaking to the danger Islam poses to the West.

The latest is Sarah Baxter, a former Greenham Common protester, who in Britain's The Sunday Times had this to say about a recent demonstration in London calling for a ceasefire in Lebanon: "Women pushing their children in buggies bearing the familiar symbol of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament marched alongside banners proclaiming 'We are all Hezbollah now', and Muslim extremists chanting, 'Oh Jew, the army of Mohammed will return'.

"I could never have imagined that many of the same crowd I hung out with then would today be standing shoulder to shoulder with militantly anti-feminist Islamic fundamentalist groups whose views on women make Western patriarchy look like a Greenham peace picnic."

Bear in mind these are people from the anti war, anti nuclear, left crowd. She points out another who has seen the light.

Another old feminist, Phyllis Chesler (she is my age, so I may call her old), is the author of The Death of Feminism, published last year. In her book, Chesler, who lived in Afghanistan for a time before she managed to flee the country and her Afghan husband, wrote: "I fear that the 'peace and love' crowd in the West refuses to understand how Islamism endangers our values and our lives, beginning with our commitment to women's rights and human rights."

It's not that they refuse to understand, they're power hungry and will do anything, including joining up with those that would destroy Western civilization.

And she shoots down one of the Left's favored myths.

Neither US foreign policy nor colonialism or imperialism is to blame for a legal system that stipulates women guilty of adultery are to be buried up to their chests and stoned to death, as in Iran. It is their culture, or at least the culture as defined by the old men running the place, that is to blame.

And that's just one country - Iran - what about the rest?

Then she slams the left and they need slamming.

It seems inconceivable that we could lose this war against terrorism. But if we do, the consequences will be awful. And they will be worse for women, for the women in the generations that will follow us. We have to fight not against Muslims but against Islamic extremism. Don't expect left-wing men to help. They're full of "I'm not scared" bravado. Don't expect all Muslim women to want to be in the fight. There have always been women who oppose rights for women. (Remember the petition, from women, against Australian women getting the vote?) But the least we can do is let the brave Muslim women who are pushing for reforms know they have our support when they want it.

Most of us 1970s feminists are grandmothers now. Lifelong socialist and humanist that I am, if fighting to prevent the possibility that my granddaughters - our granddaughters - will one day be forced to wear a burka makes me right-wing, then right-wing is the label I'll have to wear.

Welcome to the right side of history!
