Iraq - Baghdad: A tale of two cities

"Reporters say Baghdad too dangerous despite surge" blares Reuters.

"Cabbies, Though Still Wary, Find a Wider Comfort Zone" headlines the Washington Post.

The Retuers report has this clanger:

"The survey by the Washington-based Pew Research Center showed that many U.S. journalists believe coverage has painted too rosy a picture of the conflict."

Only in their left wing mind.

Update

More here.

"Today, as the Associated Press reports: "Twilight brings traffic jams to the main shopping district of this once-affluent corner of Baghdad, and hundreds of people stroll past well-stocked vegetable stands, bakeries and butcher shops." Women shop in its reopened stores, and men drink tea in sidewalk cafes."
