In Palin, working independents see themselves

Bye, Bye Obama.

"The second and more important group of voters is working independents. Polling analyst Nate Silver of fivethirtyeight.com identifies these voters as the sort of people who supported Ross Perot's bids for president.

They resent the power elites in Washington who look out for themselves without a second thought for the working woman or man; who sing the praises of deregulation, globalization and tax cuts that always seem to benefit only them; who are indifferent to families struggling to carry on as manufacturing jobs disappear, gas prices soar and health care prices itself out of reach."
