Where does that leave us? A worsening financial crisis, North Korea threatening war, Iran getting nukes, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and Islamic terror attacks on mainland America averted by sheer luck. Luck is fast running out and Obama simply isn't up to the task. All of Obama's attention, despite his claim it's on the oil spill in the gulf, is fixated on turning America into a socialist state.
I hope all you people who voted for Obama are happy now - you've ruined America. And yet, they won't give up.
The disaster in the Gulf may well spell the political end of the president and his administration, and that is no cause for joy. It's not good to have a president in this position—weakened, polarizing and lacking broad public support—less than halfway through his term. That it is his fault is no comfort. It is not good for the stability of the world, or its safety, that the leader of "the indispensble nation" be so weakened. I never until the past 10 years understood the almost moral imperative that an American president maintain a high standing in the eyes of his countrymen.
You are dead wrong Ms. Noonan. The weaker Obama is the better as it will limit somewhat the damage he is causing. Obama is shown the world what the left are really all about and they will be voted out in huge numbers for years to come. That is the greatest thing Obama could give America - their sight back.
How many MSM defections does it take to pry all of Obama's hidden records loose? I'm betting they'll be exposing at least his lack of participation, possibly some plagiarism, certainly a lack of competence. I'm sure I'm alone, though.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't hold out hope that the MSM will do their job.
