UK - Police may let Muslims see terrorism intelligence

This is sure to raise some eyebrows.

The police are considering a proposal to let selected British Muslims examine the intelligence used to mount anti-terrorism raids before they take place, the Guardian has learned.

So who are some of these "selected British Muslims"?

The review includes members of the Muslim Safety Forum, which aims to improve relations between police and British Muslim communities.

Azad Ali, its chairman, said fresh measures, such as British Muslims being able to advise the police on their intelligence and how to act on it before any raid, must be found.

I haven't had time to do much research yet but this caught my eye.

The MSF is an umbrella organisation made up of national and regional Islamic organisations including: Al-Khoei Foundation, Al Ikhlas Foundation, Al-Muntada Al-Islami, Amal Trust, Association of Muslim Police, Bangla 2000, BanglaMedia, Ershad Centre, FAIR, FOSIS, IFE, Iqra Trust, ISB, London Muslim Centre, MAB, MCB London Affairs Committee, MPAC, Muslim College, Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, Muslim Directory, Muslim Line, Muslim Parliament, Muslim Welfare House, Muslimaat UK, Somali Muslim Community, Stop Political Terror, The Avenue School, The London Central Mosque, UKIM, UMO Women's Relief, YMO UK.

Just search my blog for MAB and MCB and more eyebrows will be raised.
