UK - New bomber video 'imminent'

CNN reports.

The announcement, which appears in Arabic, says the video comes from As Sahab, al Qaeda's video production arm, and contains a picture of Shehzad Tanweer, one of the four London suicide bombers who launched their attack last July 7.

This would be the second message from one of the bombers. A videotape from Mohammed Sidique Khan, the suspected ringleader of the suicide attack, was released by al Qaeda last September.

While Britain maintains the 7/7 attack was not connected to al Qaeda, others think differently.

CNN terrorism analyst Peter Bergen said the latest video will be more evidence the London bombings involved direction from al Qaeda's senior leaders.

"We have now seen two videotaped 'wills' of the London bombers being released by al Qaeda's video production arm," he said.

"This is a further indication that the London attacks were a classic al Qaeda operation and not the work of self-starting terrorists as has been repeatedly suggested in the media."
