Lebanon - AP reporter busted

for bias. Here's a direct link to AP reporter, Bassem Mroue's, blog post and here's a screenshot of it in case he removes it.

Now, it would be interesting to compare his checklist against his reporting and see how many match.

Here's a link to his bio.

Look at what his degree is in. And in a spooky twist, look at his birthdate:

Name: Bassem Mroue
Place & Date of Birth: Beirut, September 11, 1968
Nationality: Lebanese
Residence: Beirut, Lebanon
Qualifications: Associate Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management
Cyprus College of Tourism
Diploma in Hospitality Industry
The Educational Institute of The American Hotel & Motel Association

Occupation: Journalist
The Associated Press (AP), since 1992

Dotored photos, staged photos and videos and biased reporters, no wonder the reporting from Lebanon is so screwed up. And the media can't claim it's just some local stringers screwing up. The BBC are just as bad. But despite the BBC's best hopes, the Lebanese government reports the damage to Beruit is limited to one square mile.

UPDATE

The Jawa Report busted this guy last month. Luckily, he took some screen shots because the link to Bassem's blog entry doesn't work as of now.

Anyone got an email link to the AP to complain? Besides info@ap.com I mean.
