Biased radio in Scotland

I was just listening to the 1 o'clock news on my local am station. The headline was about the current actions in Iraq between the coalition and Sadr's illegal militia.

"Bush's Vietnam" was the headline; a statement made by Ted Kennedy in a tirade the other day. Neat huh? Trying to help Kerry and defeat Bush are we? The world knows what a sore spot Vietnam is for all Americans. It was slimy of Kennedy to do it an shame on Tay Radio for repeating it.

Just for a little background. Vietnam was what, about 10 years long; from Kennedy (yep, Ted's brother) to Nixon, ending in 1973. There were over 55,000 Americans killed in that time. The coalition has been in Iraq for just over one year and the death toll is 725 coalition. Of that, 623 are American.

Iraq is not even close to Vietnam.

To cap things off, guess who their "expert on the subject" speaker was? George Galloway! The disgraced, kicked out of the labor party and rumored to be tied into the UN oil-for-food scandal, Galloway. All he could "add" to this tripe was "I told you so".
