BBC pledges complaints 'openness'

Right. And pigs can fly. I'll believe it when I see it.

The system will be overseen by a new head of complaints, reporting to the BBC's governors. It will include a website which will tell listeners and viewers how to complain and will also publish corrections.

At least they admit that they are going to need an entire website just to publish corrections. Why not just do the job right the first time?

The BBC promised greater openness and said licence payers would be presumed to be right, not wrong, in complaints.

As opposed the current situation where the BBC is presumed to be right and the licence payer wrong. Now that is customer service for you!
