Australia announces tougher anti-terror laws

Reuters reports "Australian Prime Minister John Howard announced new counter-terrorism laws on Thursday including preventive detention of suspects and use of tracking devices to monitor their movements"

Meanwhile, in the UK, "British embassies around the world have drawn up a list of up to 100 radicals who are not welcome in the UK, Home Secretary Charles Clarke confirmed."

Four years after 9/11 and they are just now getting around to these measures. Sheesh.
