Britain - Anti-War Protest Fizzles

The BBC doesn't even headline the march. You have to scroll down the page and then all you get is about ten photographs with captions. Notice how the photographs are all close ups so you can't tell how big the crowd is? Compare that to the last anti-war march with the wide angle shots.

How deluded are these people? Just listen.

The turnout was lower than some earlier anti-war marches, but many said the opposition to the Iraq conflict was stronger than ever. "The demonstrations in the past may have been bigger but then only about half the country was opposed to the war," said heritage officer Raj Pal, 47, from Birmingham. "Now about two-thirds of people are opposed."

Uh, then how come so few turned out to protest? It was a sunny and fine day after all.

By the way, what the heck is a "heritage officer"? Do they arrest you if you have the wrong heritage or something?
