Katrina - Blogger Aid Total

Here are the totals by blog of how much aid money was raised by bloggers during the blogathon.

A grand total of a whopping $ 1,282,918 was raised!

It would make an interesting story for someone to write about. Think of it, new technology harnessed by bloggers, strangers from around the world working together to raise money for the Katrina disaster.

Think of it, ordinary citizens who didn't wait for the government or a large aid agency to get up and running but took immediate action to raise $1,282,918 on their own. Ordinary American's showing the true can do spirit, the one person can make a world of difference spirit, the man against mother nature spirit where man says "I'm down but I'm not out and I'll be back", the spirit that began rebuilding even before the wind and water had subsided, the spirit that enabled people who were beaten to the ground, to get up dust themselves off, pick up the pieces and beging to help their fellow man, the spirit that prompted ordinary men and women from all over the country to immediately pour aid, supplies and manpower into the disaster area - the American spirit.

It would sure make a better story than all the smear jobs MSM are currently putting out.

Sounds like a good story to me. Paul?
