US - Congress Isn't a Criminal Hide-Out

Glad to see the LA Times agrees.

But, once again proving Bush just can't win with the media, the Times has this to say:

District Judge Thomas F. Hogan's decision upholding the search is an embarrassment not only for Congress but for President Bush. The president capitulated to congressional whining by "sealing" Jefferson's records and computer discs for 45 days so the FBI wouldn't have access to them.

So, Bush gave Jefferson's legal team time to pursue the matter in the courts and when the govenment wins, somehow it's an embarrassment for Bush. Note, Bush didn't order the records returned to Jefferson, he ordered them sealed until the legal system had time to act.

Only a left wing media could spin this one.
