What stands out for me is, if someone knew of Foley's illegal or immoral conduct and didn't raise the alarm, they put young pages at risk. If the Republicans did it out of fear of political embarrassment, that's wrong. If the Democrats kept quiet till just before the elections so as to reap maximum political benefit, that's wrong as well. Either action could have put these youngsters at risk.
