UK - BBC reports on Iraq's nuclear WMD

Nice to see the BBC noticing.

The US government has closed one of its websites that contained documents found during the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Weapons experts had complained that the site contained details on making nuclear bombs, the New York Times said.
[...]

The documents reportedly contained detailed information on the radioactive cores of atom bombs and how to build nuclear firing circuits and trigger explosives.

One diplomat told the New York Times that the documents were "a cookbook".

In fact, the experts concluded that in 2003, Iraq was one year away from having the bomb. It's worth pointing out that the BBC reported on the discovery of Iraq's nuclear material two years ago.

The US has revealed that it removed more than 1.7 metric tons of radioactive material from Iraq in a secret operation last month.[...]

Bryan Wilkes said much of the material was "in powdered form, which is easily dispersed".

Easisly dispersed nuclear material eh?
