'Islam is' not being censored by Google

That's one man's take on it.

"In this case, however, it doesn’t take much research to determine that Google is innocent. Type “Islam will” and Google suggests “be destroyed” and “destroy Europe” as possible endings. Similarly “Islam must” brings back “be destroyed”, “die” and “be stopped” as possible endings.

If someone at Google is trying to prevent search terms that could offend Muslims from appearing in their suggested searches, then they aren’t doing a very good job."

Google says it's a bug and they would fix it. That was several days ago and "Islam is" still returns no results. Perhaps if there was someone behind it, they just hadn't gotten to the others before they were caught. Or perhaps a disgruntled employee tried his hand at censorship and got caught. On the other hand, perhaps it is just a bug. Funny though, how it was only Islam that was affected.
