Thousands protest in Washington and San Francisco against war

Well, maybe not.

From, as you might guess, Muslim American Society

Washington, D.C. (News Agencies) - Thousands protested in Washington in Lafayette Park across the street from the White House Saturday demanding the return of the troops from Iraq.

"News Agencies", eh? Thousands you say? Hmmm

USA Today quoting AP says:

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Hundreds of anti-war protesters rallied from the White House to the West Coast on Saturday, calling for an end to the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq and the immediate withdrawal of American troops. "

And The Washington Post says "After two hours of emotional speeches, the rain-soaked throng of about 1,300 marched up 14th Street to express their views at the Kalorama home of Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, who was in Asia."

A sample of some others who can count. Do anti-war search with Google and you get plenty like the following.

San Jose Mercury News (subscription), CA - Jun 5, 2004
LOS ANGELES - Hundreds of anti-war protesters paraded through downtown streets in Los Angeles and San Francisco on Saturday

WAVY-TV, VA - Jun 5, 2004
Washington-AP -- Hundreds of protesters in a park across from the White House...

So, just who are these news agencies MSA is quoting?

Thousands in anti-war march in US From Al Jazeera

Thought so.
