Turkey taps British diplomat's phone

THE Turkish security services have admitted bugging the telephone of the British Ambassador in Ankara.

The admission was made in a letter sent by the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) to a court trying a Turkish journalist who published the transcript of a conversation between the ambassador and a senior European Union official.
