UN told to act on Westminster barrier

MI5 urges radical security moves

A report by intelligence chiefs due out on Monday is likely to include plans for a steel barrier around Westminster.

But in a surprise move...

Arab nations have called on the UN to take action to ensure the barrier is torn down.

The UN General Assembly is likely to meet next week to debate the world court's ruling that the barrier is illegal and should be dismantled.

Meanwhile...

Westminster insists the barrier is needed to prevent suicide bombings. Palestinians consider it a land grab.

Hey, it's Monday morning and I thought I'd cheer everyone up a little.
