Israel and Egypt agree Gaza deal

The BBC reports.

Always the Palestinian supporters, the BBC has this to say.

Areas along the Gaza-Israel border have been the focus of fierce fighting throughout almost five years of violence between Israelis and Palestinians.

Israel has launched numerous operations along the border, close to the town of Rafah, accusing Palestinian militants of digging tunnels to smuggle weapons from Egypt.

Notice how it is the Israelis who have "launched numerous operations along the border", while there is absolutely no mention that these operations were in response to attacks from Palestinian terrorists.

Also notice the BBC characterization that Israel is "accusing Palestinian militants of digging tunnels", as if there is no proof.

In their haste to support the Palestinians, the BBC seems to have forgot that they themselves have reported on just such tunnels being used to murder Israelis.

On Sunday, a joint militant operation blew up an army post near Rafah by detonating 1.5 tons of explosives packed into a tunnel underneath, killing five soldiers.

And there's more.

Six Palestinians trapped after a tunnel between the Gaza Strip and Egypt collapsed were rescued late on Friday.

The BBC even tells you what these tunnels are used for.

Palestinian militants have dug many tunnels near the border area to smuggle arms and attack Israeli forces - other tunnels have been used solely for smuggling civilian goods like cigarettes.

Last month, Israeli forces rescued three Palestinians who had been trapped in a collapsed tunnel they had been digging.
