Pakistan - Fake Passports Not Linked to Terrorists

Sound familiar?

Just over a week ago a Briton was arrested with 452 fake passports he had purchased from a Pakistani. Despite not knowing the identity of his Pakistani contact or his British buyer, someone determined he had no contacts with terrorists.

It would seem the process is being repeated.

PARIS, Aug 11 (AFP) - A Pakistani man arrested with forged British passports at a Paris airport has no apparent link to any terrorist plot, French prosecutors said Thursday, adding that his case was now being handled as a standard criminal matter.

Mohammed Billal Youssaf, 23, a resident of Brescia in Italy, was arrested at Charles de Gaulle airport on Sunday after arriving from the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore and preparing to travel to London.

He had five false British passports and five bogus British driving licences on him, all of them filled out and containing photographs of different individuals.

Would it not be better to err on the side of caution and handle it as a terrorist case until proven otherwise?
