Afghanistan - 700 Taliban trapped by Nato offensive

Good news from Afghanistan.

Nato and Afghan forces used artillery and air strikes overnight to keep up pressure on an estimated 700 Taliban trapped by an offensive that the alliance claims has killed at least 200 militants in southern Afghanistan, Nato said today.

But in the BBC's alternate universe the mission has "largely failed".

The BBC's Barbara Plett in Islamabad says some observers believe the deal offers the government an exit from a military strategy that has largely failed.

As I noted yesterday:

That would be the same BBC Plett who "started to cry" as a dying Yasser Arafat left the West Bank in 2004. So, this Palestinian terrorists loving left wing BBC reporter "says" "some observers" "believe" and that passes for journalism at the BBC?

Even The London Times sees things exactly opposite the Beeboid. "Border deal threatens to close trap on Taleban"
