UK - Police to brief Muslims before terror raids

This is how insane Britain is becoming.

POLICE have agreed to consult a panel of Muslim leaders before mounting counter-terrorist raids or arrests. Members of the panel will offer their assessment of whether information police have on a suspect is too flimsy and will also consider the consequences on community relations of a raid.

Members will be security vetted and will have to promise not to reveal any intelligence they are shown. They will not have to sign the Official Secrets Act.

As a member of the infidels I am outraged. Are the police going to consult a like panel of us infidels so we can offer our assesment to counter their's?

Whatever happened to the government's claim that Muslim terrorism had nothing to do with one community in particular?

Shouldn't Muslims be outraged to be singled out this way? What the government is saying is that if not handled properly, Muslims will riot when the police arrest Muslim terror suspects. In other words, Muslims will protect Muslim terrorists.

It gets worse.

This week the Association of Chief Police Officers will discuss with MI5 and the Home Office whether to reveal to the panel intelligence information from the security service.

As a former intelligence analyst, I can assure you, you can gain intellignece beyond the intelligence you are given.

Who's behind this move?

The idea came from the Metropolitan police and the Muslim Safety Forum (MSF), which works for better police-Muslim relations. It has been under discussion for two years and came to the top of the agenda after a police raid in Forest Gate, London, in June, in which a man was shot. Police were acting on a tip-off about a bomb. None was found.

Azad Ali, chairman of the MSF, said: “The major concern that came to us from Muslims was that the intelligence was flawed — the raid was on assumption and nothing else. This will allow independent scrutiny of intelligence.”

How is showing Muslims intelligence on suspected Muslim terrorists "independent"?

So, how's it worked out in the past when the Police alerted Ali and the MSF of impending arrests of suspected Muslim terrorists?

MSF members could resign tomorrow if the police arress Moazzam Begg, Richard Belmar, Feroz Abbasi and Martin Mubanga.[...]

Muslim organisations represented on MSF are planning a demonstration outside Paddington Green police station tomorrow, where the detainees are expected to be taken.

Oh, dear. See here for Begg's ties to terrorism.

It gets worse.

MSF member Massoud Shadjareh, who chairs the Islamic Human Rights Commission,...

Great! A member of MSF, the group behind this suicidal idea, is also

a member of a terrorist front organization.

The commission organizes the annual Al-Quds Day demonstration in London, initiated by Ayatollah Khomeini.[4] It opposes the banning of the Islamist Hizb-ut-Tahrir party and feels that the adoption of sharia law is a legitimate religious idea.[2]

During the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict, British Newspapers reported IHRC Chair Massoud Shadjareh to have asked "his followers" and "British Muslims" to provide financial assistance to Hezbollah, and having called for the occupation of Israel...

And you may recall it was the IHRC that was behind the suit to stop US planes from resupplying Israel.

And Ali is in favor of Iran having nuclear weapons. Not just nuclear power but nuclear weapons.

Interviewer: Right, now please elaborate why.

Azad Ali: Well, it's... You're either fair, and you allow people... You know, what you have for yourself you allow for other people, or you're unfair and an oppressor. So, if I'm a fair person - if I have a house and a car, I'd expect my fellow man to have a house and a car as well, and I wouldn't stop them from getting. It's a simple answer.

Simple really. House, car, nuclear bomb, what's the difference?

This new plan is on top of British police having to remove their shoes when entering a suspected Muslim terror suspects house, no bomb sniffing dogs allowed and the raid must be timed so as not to interfere with prayers.

Londonistan, capitol of Lemminstate is aptly named.
