Terror 'fixer' is charged from The Sun

I normally just go to page 3 but this caught my eye first. This article raises a lot of questions for me. Be sure to read the sidebar Exclusive on the right side of the page! It starts with this"

A TOP activist with the extreme Islamic group Al-Muhajiroun last night pledged allegiance to Osama Bin Laden but DENIED it had anything to do with the UK terror bomb plot.

Sayful Islam, leader of the group’s Luton branch, claimed no British Muslim would take part in terrorist activity.

But the 24-year-old accountant admitted the group — which claims to be “the mouth, eyes and ears of Bin Laden” — dreamed of the day the world was dominated by Islam.

Tell me why people like this and Hamza the Hook are not arrested for being a member of a terrorist organization or deported.

Now, to the main article.

The international scale of the plan was revealed after a Muslim suspected of being a fixer was arrested and charged in Canada.

What is a fixer? Does it have anything to do with this:

Canadian suspect Khawaja, 29, was arrested at the Foreign Ministry offices where he worked.

This has huge implications! Canada's PM has often been accussed of being soft on terrorist. Why isn't the mainstream media digging more into this story?

It was also disclosed that a number of the eight — all British citizens mainly of Pakistani descent — had attended al-Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan.

I thought most of them were teenagers. If that is the case they would have been very young at the time fo their training.

It was alleged his role was aimed at “enhancing the ability” of a terrorist group.

OK, so he is a computer specialist (in what?) and he worked at the Foreign Ministry (doing what?). How was he going to enhance their ability?

“There has been a strong element of international organisation between suspects using electronic communications.”

Which was, thankfully, picked up by The National Security Agency in the US and GCHQ in the UK. The same two organizations that were critized over alleged bugging at the UN. If these terrorists had succeded and killed 100's and maimed thousands, the press would persecute them and the government for failing in their job. You just can't win.

More details unfolded of the astonishing joint investigation by police and MI5, codenamed Operation Crevice.

Lip readers were used to study films of the gang taken by undercover officers, to find out what they said to each other.

Tracking devices were used on cars and MI5 agents watched them through two-way number plates from car boots.

The huge operation soaked up so many resources that at one point there were no police surveillance teams left to carry out any other kind of watch.

Woa! Hello! I hope this is just scaremongering.
