Mullah Krekar convicted of terrorism in Jordan; released in Norway

A military tribunal in Jordan has convicted Mullah Krekar and 8 other men for terrorism and connections to the al-Qaida terrorist network.

They were all sentenced in absentia to 15 years of hard labour.

The news came only a day after the Norwegian Public Prosecutor had dismissed all charges against Krekar, for lack of evidence.
