US liberation allows 4 million Afghans to return home

From The BBC

The BBC headline reads "Why millions of Afghans have gone home" and Charles Haviland, the BBC reporter, never mentions the US or America; not once, nope, nada. I guess the US led coailiton war that ousted the Taleban, never happened. At least in the BBC's version of history.

Now you know why I changed the headline.

Mohammed Nader Farhad, a spokesman here for the UN refugee agency, the UNHCR, says that, when internally displaced people and voluntary returnees are counted, no less than 3.6 million Afghans have returned home since early 2002.

[...]

Alongside the myriad carpet shops and kebab joints, there are the signs of an economic boom - new restaurants, construction companies and hotels, even boutiques.

Many are the initiatives of Afghans returned from abroad to employ their talents.

And who does the BBC give credit to for the liberation and rebuilding of Afghanistan? The UN!

The UNHCR has given many returnees cash or food allowances, and helped build houses and wells around the country.

While no doubt the UN and many other agencies are helping out, The BBC just could not bring itself to admit that it was the US led coalition that led to the liberation and rebuilding of Afghanistan.

The BBC take every opportunity to attack the US and never give the US credit for the many successes.

What a shameful organization.
