The BBC ignores the growing "Cambodiagate" engulfing John Kerry

Here is a copy of my email I sent to the BBC asking why they are ignoring this scandal.

Now that the New York Times and Wall Street Journal (in addition to The Telegraph and The Herald in Britain) are reporting on John Kerry and "Cambodiagate" and since as the referenced link shows the BBC reported on the charges that Bush was AWOL, will the BBC now start reporting on this scandal rocking John Kerry's campaign?

(referenced link: http://newssearch.bbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/search/results.pl?scope=newsukfs&tab=news&q=bush+awol)

If not, why not?

This link:

http://newssearch.bbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/search/results.pl?scope=newsukfs&tab=news&q=Fahrenheit+9%2F11

is the search results for Fahrenheit 911. Notice that there are 57 hits for that search.

This link:

http://newssearch.bbc.co.uk/cgi-bin/search/results.pl?scope=newsukfs&tab=news&q=Unfit+for+Command

is the search results for "Unfit for Command", a book that exposes John Kerry's lies. Notice the hit results are zero.

Why are you telling your viewers only one side of the story?

As a TV license payer and as a reader of the BBC website I have a right to be told the whole story.

When do you plan on reporting on "Unfit for Command", The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and "Cambodiagate"?

Here is a link to the BBC feedback form. If enough people write to them and ask similar questions maybe they will start to report on this growing scandal.

Bush used connections to avoid service during the Vietnam war.

Kerry served honorably, but because he told the truth about the war, he's being lied about. The BBC knows not to report lies -- but you are right, they should report the disgraceful campaign against Kerry as well as the other underhand tricks being used by Bush supporters. I'll use the feedback form to suggest they do more reporting on the tactics used by the right in the American election.

Kerry has already admitted he lied about "Cambodiagate".

Last Wednesday Kerry spokesman Michael Meehan sent me a statement saying that "During John Kerry's service in Vietnam, many times he was on or near the Cambodian border and on one occasion crossed into Cambodia. . . . On December 24, 1968 Lieutenant John Kerry and his crew were on patrol in the watery borders between Vietnam and Cambodia deep in enemy territory." I asked for clarification as to whether the "one occasion" was Christmas Eve 1968. "No," was the reply.

So, the first charge by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has been proven. Kerry has been lying for 30 years about Christmas in Cambodia.

Hey, by all means, write the BBC and get them to start reporting on "Cambodiagate". The book is not even out yet and the scandal is already in the New York Times and the WSJ, just to name a few.

And the left wing are not lying through their teeth about the last election (where the Democrats were in charge of voting in 24 out of 25 of the disputed areas in Florida.....)

I have emailed the Beeb asking why they do not put both sides. That's all everyone is asking - BOTH sides not just the leftie side all the time. I am sick of logging onto the Americas part of the website and finding nothing but negative stuff about Bush or the USA as a whole and not a sausage about anything that shows the Democrats in a bad light......thank God for blogs and other media which are putting the true stories out.

PS I signed this comment - why does 'anonymous' not? The truth - you can't handle the truth! And THAT'S why the Democrats are going to implode in November and Labour will follow next year!

It's entirely up to Americans what idiot they elect, however the chances of Labour losing next year are zero. Only a truly blinkered conservative could think otherwise.

I did not mention the election. I said they would implode. Given the reactions of the loonies to the possibility of the Iraqi PM visiting Labour's conference, Galloway's latest 'perverse wish' that the British/US Armys 'get a hiding' and all the other ridiculous things they are getting up to, I think Blair is going, Brown will struggle to keep them together and the next election will be very tight actually. Labour might even split if the unions do not get their way after all these years of New Labour/pretend Tory policies! I try not to be blinkered as I am renowned in my family for asking for the facts on BOTH sides before O think about something. Comes from my Military Intelligence training I suppose! The mainstream media are NOT giving both sides which is why I like checking out blogs all over the world. But of course you have to weigh what each is saying.
