The Democrats and character assassination

Former Georgia Sen. Max Cleland said today:

"As veterans of the armed services, we ask that you recognize this blatant attempt at character assassination and publicly condemn it," the letter to Bush says.

While at the same time Kerry is doing some character assassination of his own.

A group of Democratic loyalists is compiling incriminating dossiers on the members of the veteran group [Swift Boat Veterans for Truth] - and they sent us a preview of what might be in store for Swift Boat activist James Zumwalt, son of illustrious Adm. Elmo Zumwalt - and it isn't pretty.
